Let's face it, some of us weren't too keen on the original idea of Anne Hathaway being Catwoman, but she has seemingly been proving herself to be fit for the role through information from several interviews. Now in a new interview with The Dark Knight Rises star, she reveals exactly what the producers wanted from Catwoman and her reaction to adding Selina Kyle to her resume.

Even now, her reaction to landing the role of Catwoman hasn't changed:
“I couldn’t believe that this was even an opportunity made available to me and then when I actually got it I, I mean it… it’s a little bit too good to be true. I’m kind of waiting for someone to come out and just be like, ‘Psych! You got punked!’”

The very tight-fitting uniform that Catwoman wears is not only a challenge physically, but also mentally:
“It just dominated my thoughts for a year basically. From the time that I got cast until the last time I wore [the costume,]…everything I put in my mouth related back to how it would affect my time in the gym. My time in the gym was dictated by it…there’s a lot of expectation and I wanted to rise to it.”

Even though Catwoman is very sexy, Anne Hathaway made sure that she was able to kick a lot of butt:
“At no point was I ever told how to look. Chris didn’t tell me, the producers didn’t tell me, the studio. It was never about, ‘How do you look,” it was, ‘What can you do?’. So, I had to learn how to fight… properly fight and then once I was in fighting shape, then we decided that is the shape that [Catwoman] gets.”

“It was nice not to have a lot of that pressure of some sort of unattainable ideal put on me.”

The Dark Knight Rises releases on July 20th.

@patrickbateman47

It's as if there's a film coming out or something.

Lord knows we didn't have to put up with this during The Avengers run up to release, amirite?

Oh how I miss seeing article after article about Jeremy Renner talking about being Hawkeye, or about how Jeremy Renner was looking forward to playing Hawkeye, or how Jeremy Renner felt about playing Hawkeye.

Those were the days alright.

I'm seriously surprised that no one is having a go at the "Everything I put in my mouth..." line...

@Nubase

My post was sarcasm bro, I'm not bothered one bit by the influx of Batman news because it only makes sense due to the impending release of TDKR

New critic:

Sky Movies ‏@skymovies Our contact in LA says Dark Knight Rises is so good she genuinely considered wetting herself rather than take a break and miss anything.

Also, she said her hands were shaking uncontrollably for the final 20 minutes!

She did nothing original for this. She pulled everything from the michelle pfeiffer playbook and cashed a check. Catwoman only works in the books and even then, sometimes, a little bit can go a long way. Catwoman always balances on the line of a street wise badass with an 'Im gonna get mine, you better get yours' philosophy and a boring cardboard characters that flirts her way to the top.. It all depends on the writer. BUT ON A SCREEN SHES ALWAYS AWFUL. A boring 1 trick pony, always. And please dont attempt to convince me that a tiny chick that weighs 115lb soaking wet can beat up a whole pack of henchmen! enough!...and just admit that shes a contributing factor as to way this movie will suck!

All of the New Batman movies have never Gotten' the Lady right. In Batman Begins there was Katie Holmes who looked like a ghost that couldn't smile and everyone in that cast gave her the "Side Eye" because they smelled Tom Cruise junk on her breath. Then in The Dark Knight they replaced her with Maggie Gyllenhaal.... Yeah, that tragic ray of sunshine with her Slough from the Goonies/Garbage Pale Kid award winning Melted face, "She must have only took a little peak at the Ark of the Covenant when the Nazis opened that Mother-F. At least Mary listened to Indiana and kept her damn eyes shut". It was only proper for the movie to blow her up to smithereens.. And now they have Anne Hathaway, regardless of all the interviews that people say she is the best Catwoman I highly doubt it. "The hours this Brawd reports to us about being in the gym and fighting practice is an "Amazing SpiderMan Croc of Crap". She looks absolutely SOFT and Non heroic in her Flat Black NO curves to her Body Cat Burglar suit. Comicon Chicks make her look like she picked up her Catwoman costume from the Halloween Superstore. I tried my absolute best to brainwash myself like all the other idiots that think she looks Sexy in that outfit, I promise to all of you tried, I really tried, From Coke to Ecstacy to slipping my own self a Roofy in my Grape kool-aid at my freinds Church BBQ, and can't even get WingMan status drunk to think she looks HOT :(... The New Batman Movies will never get the "Dame" right. Not only did they cast the wrong Chick again for Batman, Bane looks like he has a mechanical Sphincter attached to his face...
