THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Star Christian Bale Breaks Up Fight Between Two Bums

The man who plays a hero in Christopher Nolan's Batman movies has become a real-life hero when he bravely defused a fight between two homeless men.

According to the almost always reliable National Enquirer Christian Bale was witnessed Christmas shopping near his home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. From there the tale gets much more interesting as two vagrants began to have a loud shouting match near the actor and his family. The source informs the tabloid, "I could not believe what I was seeing. It wasn't clear what the people were arguing about - but it soon became apparent that their conversation was heading toward a violent incident."

"One of the homeless guys cocked back his fist and was just about to strike the other man - but out of nowhere Christian Bale appeared and got in the middle of them! Christian acted like a referee and told the homeless men to take it elsewhere - and away from all the families that were enjoying the peaceful surroundings."

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

Those bums wouldn't be able to see him. At this point he can fight for real with all the KFM and boxing he knows. Look forward to seeing his Bruce Wayne get beat down this summer.

Is this what it's come down to, making heroes out of celebrities for doing things normal, nameless, faceless people do on a regular basis?

I mean, good for him to do that, but who gives a flying [frick]?

(this goes for Zoe Saldana as well)

That's the problem with Batman's costume. You can't quickly run into an ally and change into it before you kick some ass like Superman and Spider-Man does.
