Is this a parody of trending "video essay" videos?  Yes, this is a parody.  A funny one that pokes fun at video essays like "Honest Trailers" and "Everything Wrong With...." , and proves that some movies are undeserving of these videos, like the recent "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Kingsman: The Secret Service" additions.

Hope you had a laugh.  Sound off in the comments

And, if you feel like reminiscing, here is a real trailer for "The Dark Knight".

Haha, it is a parody. I thought it was funny. Good to see someone doing something, I wish they didn't do those video essays like honest trailers for good movies. Their funnier and make sense for the bad ones

Haha, thought this was real for second. You almost fooled me Kinsolving

And, yeah, I haven't seen a good "Honest Trailer" in awhile. Last one I really remember was for TASM 2

I get that, and, it was funny for a split second. Then, it just wasn't.

True, I feel like that was the point of the parody though, so it did it's job.

Kind of like the majority of those video essays about good movies. Their funny for a second, then you realize how good the movie actually is, and their not funny any more, that's when those videos become pure nonsense. Especially the "Everything Wrong With...." videos

LoL that was funny in parts. I gotta be honest I know its not a popular opinion. But im not a fan of the Dark Knight I respect the Heath Ledger performance as the Joker and he was good. But the rest of the film I struggle to watch and I don't think is as rewarding. I think replay value is the thing that it lacks for me.

I agree about TDKRises but as far as Batman Begins and The Dark Knight go, they are great.

And, TDK takes so much inspiration from the Joker in the comics. I think it's awesome how they played off the "One bad day" concept from the "Killing Joke". They used that concept throughout the movie, with Two-Face and even Batman. The did a lot right, especially the Batman/Joker dynamic

I think it's hard looking back in retrospect, especially because the new DCEU interpretations look amazing and closer to the comics. The DCEU will be a universe where we can actually see Batman and Superman together, and The Justice League and things like the lazarus pit can actually exist and make sense. Can't wait for the DCEU, next year is gonna Rock
