Hmm. Wonder what Chris Judge's role is in the TDKR? I've heard everything from "he's playing Bane on venom" to "he's playing Killer Croc." Most likely, we wont know until the movie comes out. Also, love that hypothetical conversation between Jack Nicholson Joker and Tom Hardy Bane.

The next trending topic will be The Amazing Spider-Man and if you want your tweets included in the next Twitter Buzz all you need to do is follow me and send me a direct tweet with the hashtag #amzngspideycbm!

The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming American superhero film under the development of Christopher Nolan, David S. Goyer, and Jonathan Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third and final installment in Nolan's Batman film series. The Dark Knight Rises will see the return of Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, James Gordon, and Lucius Fox, respectively. The film will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy—two central characters from the comic books.

Nolan was initially hesitant about returning to the series for a third time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother and David Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note. Filming has taken place across the world, including locations in India, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, and Pittsburgh. Nolan is opting to utilize IMAX cameras for more of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketing campaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012, by Warner Bros.

@DexterMorgan - TDKR - More of the same from Nolan, with a movie that's starting to sound more and more like "Batman Forever" or "Spider-Man 3." "Avengers" - first time a movie has had this many iconic heroes together on the big screen, with good to great actors cast in all roles.

@AlanWarlock: at least Nolan has proven his abilities and Whedon is untested. ( I saw serendipity and it sucked imo.)

BB and TDK aren't the same... so how can there be more of it?

Personally... I hoped that both films do well. But if I was to bet, I think the odds are with the one that has been proven at such a large scale. Whedon is a major leap of faith with nothing to base that faith on. So we'll see. : )

They ain't claims .. JGL IS wearing the first Batsuit so obviously he's working with Wayne to throw others off the scent and damn we might get TWO Batmen on the screen at the same time. Not Robin but more likely to be Nightwing!!! All we need is a wee cameo from Croc or Ventriliquist too to add a nice touch to proceedings! Batwing or whatever looking good!!

Greengo No need to argue your points; They are quite logical and easy to understand. Christopher Nolan is great director and film maker with a flawless track record. Whedon has little to no background in feature films and has a feeble resume compared to Nolan. It's a shocking gamble that such an important film be placed in his hands. I'm hoping for this best with Avengers while I'm confident Nolan will make another great film- it's what he does. Why would one think otherwise?
