UPDATE: Making Ben Affleck good as Batman

So, as you guys know Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in he Man of Steel sequel. Here, we take a look at how to make him good in it.

1. Don't let this happen

I shouldn't have to state why that's a reason.

2. Show more of the detective side of Batman

As great as the Nolan films were, they failed to capture the detective element of Batman. This version needs to fight with more than his fists.

3. Don't let Affleck butt in on the directing decisions

Now, Ben Affleck can direct, don't get me wrong. If you've seen Argo, you know what I'm talking about. But, I don't want him directing this movie. Man of Steel was Snyder's baby, and considering how good it was, (every film has flaws, give it a break), I trust him with Batman. I don't want Affleck bein' all like "Check out my Oscars, how 'bout we-". No. Just no.

4. Don't just show Batman, show Bruce as well

Now, I have my reservations about Affleck being to pull off Batman, but I think he could do very well with Bruce, and I hope they show him doing so.

5. Bulk him up

We've seen in The Town that he can get big, and Batman's a big guy. He shouldn't get as big as Cavill, (obviously), but he needs to buff up a lot.

6. Introduce Dick Grayson

THERE SHOULD BE NO ROBIN IN THIS MOVIE. I love the character of Robin, but having another major character like him in this movie might clutter it a bit. But I think we should be briefly introduced to Dick Grayson somehow. A perfect choice of casting (in my humble opinion) is Logan Lerman. Now, I said in the first edition of this I said Chris Pine would fit, but I thought about it and Lerman is much better for the part. And, we get a younger Robin.

7. Have a few key scenes with Alfred

Just a few scenes with Alfred would be good, to sort of shape Bruce's character, and so you can see their friendship. I thought maybe a younger actor (not "Beware the Batman" young), but maybe someone like Daniel Day-Lewis would be good.

8. Show Batman's a veteran

Since Affleck is older than Cavill, I think it would be smart of them to state that Superman is new to the whole "superhero" thing, whilst Batman is a veteran. It'd give them something to fight about in one point or another, and it would make an interesting part of their blooming friendship.

9. Keep Affleck away from any and all leather

....... My point exactly.

10. Make Batman a bada** before it even shows Affleck

How cool would it be to see just all these people getting knocked out cold, and we occasionally get a glimpse of a bat's shadow, and when they're knocked out, Batman comes out of the shadows and that's his introduction? That would be epic.

I was expecting a satire article.

Man of Steel was just enjoyable. Not good but not bad. Ben Affleck will be a great Bruce Wayne. Just can't picture him in the Batsuit. Also, NO Dick Grayson in this movie. It has to stay pure Superman with the inclusion of Batman. On a different topic but, I think The Town showed his directing skills better than Argo did (Argo is a a great but over rated movie). This is just my opinion though.

No to Chris Pine (Capt. Kirk in Superman?....I don't think so.) No to Dick Grayson period. If you're gonna have him, he should be in a solo film and be a teenager, 16-17 at most. Definite, huge no to Daniel Day-Lewis as Alfred. That just doesn't work. This is a Superman film, so I'm not sure if you even need Alfred. He should be a very minor character at most. And despite what many fans call for, if most of this movie takes place in Metropolis, there is no reason at all to show Commissioner Gordon. Should Affleck butt in on directing? Probably not. Should Snyder ask his opinion about things? Definitely.

@2Challa Lol I am not a Scorsese of CBMs, and I have never claimed to be.
@BlackJack10 Well, if they used Chris Pine, (which they won't but still), I was thinking it would be more along the lines of kind of Detective Blake and Batman's relationship in DKR. And I do mean like one, or two scenes with him at the most.
@Lhornbk Yes, I think Snyder could ask him about stuff and get his opinion, but I don't want Affleck getting carried away.

I like the last point especially with making Batman badass before even showing Affleck. I think it would be cool to start the movie out with Batman during a fight with Deathstroke or some other villain.

I just said that to say this. We all know what we love about our heroes and a lot of times they are different things. Your perfect Batman film wouldn’t be the same as my perfect Batman film and vice versa. Lets just enjoy what we get.
