First 2 movies were ok but the 3rd looks terrible, shame about heath ledget, the series needs another reboot. Get someone who knows how to make Bane look like Bane, not Hannibal.

ronnie the first 2 films are the best CBMs of all time and some of the best movies or all time.

The 3rd looks just as fantastic.

And someone should tell Marvel to adapt a comic book storyline as Nolan does and stop making up their own

I don't get the connection. Why is Leahy in these movies? Is he a friend of Nolan's or something?

bit more shamelessly promotion. I worked really hard on a TV spot for the Imported from Gotham competition, unfortunately my submission was screwed over because the site experienced technical difficulties when i uploaded it. So after several days of emailing, begging, and complaining i was finally able to get through. I only have a 40 more minutes to display it. So please! Watch, rate, and enjoy. I think it came out pretty awesome.

just wait a second or two for the video to load. Thanks!

@thewonderer I don't see how you can argue that Nolan's Batman isn't "loosely" based on various series. TDK was a hodgepodge of The Killing Joke and elements from from The Long Halloween. You're dismissing Marvel's attempts to loosely base off their own works in order to dis them. Back up your cites before you base your arguments of strictly opinion.

Man, Intruder is SO smart! Have you guys ever noticed he is so much more advanced in his perception of what great filmmaking and acting is? Like, what we think is great cinema, obviously we're wrong, we just aren't seeing it correctly.
thewonderer
thewonderer - 7/3/2012, 8:54 PM
@Weeton

Because the exact plot of Nolans films are from comics. Every significant part of Nolans films comes somewhere from the comics.

A hodgepodge as you say is perfectly acceptable. There is no part in the Avengers comics where Loki UNDER Thanos with HIS army attacks this exact group of Avengers. BUT, I don't blame the exact group so much as the Loki under Thanos.

Also Thors origin IS COMPLETELY different. Not familiar with Cap and Iron Man comics so much, but I know they aren't that similar either at all.

I'm not really condemning Marvel so much as attacking claims than Nolan isn't doing comic book justice. I just happen to do that by criticizing Marvel.

And my claim is easily supported if you've read The Long Halloween and Year One

@thewonderer

And what exactly are you getting out of criticising Marvel?

I love both Marvel and DC equally but I will admit that Nolan has done an amazing job giving us a pretty damn good series so far but to me it sounds like you are just criticising Marvel at every turn because DC hasn't got there shit together and has only given us ONE good Batman trilogy (Burton ruined the first two and Schumacher completely ass[frick]ed the next two) hating Marvel because of jealousy that Marvel did something DC doesn't have the balls to do.

The Long Halloween was pretty damn good though I agree there.

@Farkosaurus now thats a true Bane, the new Bane is a utter joke. I never said the first 2 films were bad. I only said the 3rd looks terrible.

@ronnie42 good luck finding someone who looks like that in real life.
TonyChu
TonyChu - 7/3/2012, 10:41 PM
@ ronnie42 Appearances can be deceiving, although that does look like Bane he was nothing like his comic book counterpart. He was just some dumb brute and contributed nothing towards the progress of the movie. So you would rather take that Bane than a version of him in which he is a tactful thinker and have a a well developed character?
