Do people really think that a well done story will great character depth and acting infused with great action such as TDKR is likely to be, is not going to be as good as The avengers which looks to be a bunch of action and explosions with everyone's favorite superheroes saying funny lines and nothing beyond that?

I said Dicks. I like Marvel just as much as you and it sickens me that there are so much people on here who are happy with the bullshit that they put out. At least I get what I read in Dc comics on the movie screen which is serious crime and violence and grounded story telling. X men first class was all that Marvel had and that was made by Fox. And I still didn't [frick] with that movie because Fox can never get the X men story right at all. When I read Marvel comics I see serious tones and over the top bad ass violence. Yea you might get a joke here and there but at the end of the day its always about stopping a very crazy villain that has the upper hand. Marvel has not made a movie like that since the first Iron Man.

To sum complaining like it or not agree or not but The Dark Knight Rises is the most anticipated because this is the end of Nolan's Batman trilogy, it is about Batman himself the Superhero, Comic Book Characters & pop cultural phoenom. I mean yes the Avengers is anticipated but people have been waiting for TDKR since the send of The Dark Knight, plus in many magazines articles it has been written that TDKR is most anticipated.

Yea sum say Green Lantern got this last year so what this this Batman, no disrespect to GL of course but so did other films get this award.

I think it is time many of U put your personal feelings aside for not liking Nolan and Batman and realize it is like this, in basketball past and even now whether U love Jordan and/or Kobe or hate them, they are great....If U willing to view these movies in this comparison such as TDKR U will truly prove your comic book loyalty rather than you personal hate.

Yes I look forward to the Avengers I will be there to see it Lord willing, but I am with The Dark Knight Rises. Besides if there is any group people really want and will be most anticipate it will be Batman's team yes U know them as The Justice League....& yes one day it will happen nuff said ;)

TDK won back in '07 and in '08 we got both best Batman movie and best Marvel movie.I can see that happen again next year :)
