CAPTAIN AMERICA Wins! BATMAN V SUPERMAN Gets A New Release Date; Will Be In 3D

One of them had to blink, and in the battle between Marvel Studios and Warner Bros., it was Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which moved from Captain America 3's release date. However, it's a win/win for us as we now get the movie a fair bit sooner. Read on for details!

Someone was going to have to move, and as it turns out, it will be Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Captain America: The Winter Soldier earned over $700 million at the worldwide box office earlier this year, and the fact that it's coming off the back of Avengers: Age of Ultron could propel Cap's third outing to the $1 billion mark. While the appeal of a movie starring both the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel (not to mention Wonder Woman) is undeniable, it would have not been smart for Batman V Superman to battle it out with Captain America 3 on May 6th, 2016. Ultimately, you have to imagine that both releases would have suffered and performed nowhere near as well as they deserved to. Instead, it has now moved to March 25th, 2016, meaning we get it around six weeks sooner than expected. I'm not sure about you guys, but I think I'd call that a win/win for everyone. Oh, and yes, Batman V Superman will indeed be released in 3D as expected!

They win? Poor mans victory, considering the FACT that BvS will steamroll it at the box office and leave it in dust.

Anyway, DC fans win, they get BvS earlier! LOL!

Drax: *"" YES HAHAA,, YES!!!""*

But in all honesty this is obviously a good thing for both movies. Now both have a chance to go all out at the box office.

I said months ago that there was no way WB and Disney would release tentpole movies on the same weekend.

The shareholders would never have allowed such an abrogation of fiduciary duties by either of these corporations.

For anyone who ACTUALLY thought neither studio would flinch and would actually go through with the idiotic decision of releasing both movies on the same day...I told you so =P

Damn lol well can't say we didn't see that coming.

Honestly, I love the forthcoming competition and upping in production of cbms, as fans we are really lucky as hell to be getting all these films! Now hopefully quality doesn't take a dip and they keep finding ways to make these great!

Glad we are getting it earlier! The title is right, Marvel won, because head to head, BvS would decimate C3.

"They're the new Pixar"

If by that you mean they make shitty movies for kids with little to no real plot, then they sure are.

Even as a marvel fan, or at least I prefer them to DC while still liking cbms in general, I plan to not read comments on stuff like this. Gloating fans are aggravating.

Do you even know how to write non biased NEWS?

Dudes a joke. Save that kind of shit for an editorial.

It makes sense on a few points.
First, they never should've put the film in a date another comic book film already has taken before. Dick move from DC and MARVEL didn't move from the date they blocked earlier.

Second, both movies will make more money.

Third, BvS comes out earlier.

Fourth, Marvel's unknown characters just set the box office record in their first appearance without any mentioning of introducing in earlier movies.

Makes sense. OK.

We Win, anyways.
