POLL: What Do You Think Of Jason Momoa's 'Aquaman' Look In BATMAN V SUPERMAN?
Now that we've had a first look at Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, who will be debuting in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before joining Justice League and later flying solo, share your thoughts!
After taking almost a three-month hiatus from Twitter since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wrapped filming in New Mexico, director Zack Snyder returned to the social media outlet late last night to provide our first official look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman. The "Unite the Seven" reveal was especially surprising given the DC anti-superhero was said to only cameo in the Man of Steel follow-up, while there are several main characters we've yet to see officially. However, what might have been more unexpected is the director's approach to Aquaman, whose costume is "proudly" designed by Michael Wilkinson, and seemingly takes inspiration from comic artist Martin Egeland's design instead of the "classic" look. The photo shows a grungy Jason Momoa with dreadlocks, tribal fish scale-like tattoos, and partial body armor as opposed to blonde hair, golden chain-mail armor, and green tights. Of course, he wouldn't be the true King of the Seven Seas without his trademark trident, which the Game of Thrones alum is gripping rightfully. Though we may have to wait a while to see the full costume when Aquaman appears in Dawn of Justice, before returning full-fledged in Justice League Part One (Nov 17, 2017) and the solo movie (July 27, 2018), what do you think?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter. The film, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer's screenplay, and directed by Zack Snyder, hits March 25, 2016!
