VIDEO: Jesse Eisenberg Talks MAN OF STEEL 2..Back In October Of 2013!

Last year Total Film interviewed both Eisenberg and actor/director Richard Ayoade for their movie The Double, and quizzed them about Zack Snyder's Batman VS. Superman themed sequel. Although Ayoade does most of the talking, it's pretty clear they both knew something even back then!

The internet has blown up since it was announced that Jesse Eisenberg had been cast as Lex Luthor in the sequel to Man Of Steel, so Total Film have just posted this video of an interview with the actor from back in October of last year. The site was just randomly asking everyone they spoke to around that time for their opinions on the flick, but when you watch the vid it seems that both Eisenberg and the ever hilarious Richard's Ayoade may well have known that the latter had been in talks. Pay particular attention to Ayoade bringing up the casting of Lex Luthor, and Eisenberg's somewhat squirming reaction!



Anyway, what do you guys think of this controversial choice?

That coy son of a bitch! Lol There are some points in this video where I swear both of them already had a previous conversation about Eisenberg auditioning for the movie. Eisenberg is sitting there like, "Shut up man!" He's hiding his face the entire time!

Eisnenberg looks too slouchy and frail and has a voice of a kid to play Lex Luthor. This has to be a joke or something because April hasn't came around yet or this has to be a FAIL casting on that particular part.

He's an actor. His "posture" will change, if he shaves his head that would make him look a lot older.
He's 30, same age as Cavill, maybe they'll use that fact, maybe they won't.

I think he's going to be a Lex that doesn't look intimidating at all, or looks like he could even hold a candle to Superman. But it's his brain, his mind that makes him scary and I like that.


@yossarian Although it would've been awesome. It's kinda obvious Phoenix wouldn't do it. It's way out of his comfort zone. He's quite eccentric and I really didn't think he'd commit to a big superhero franchise.
