BLACK ADAM Concept Art Reveals A Closer Look At The Anti-Hero And Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate Costume

Some newly revealed concept art from Black Adam puts the spotlight not only on Dwayne Johnson's anti-hero, but the enigmatic Doctor Fate, as played by former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan. Check it out!

Warner Bros. recently shared a preview for its DC slate in 2022, and it included footage from Black Adam. The trailer for that movie still hasn't been released, but is likely heading our way in time for The Batman so it can play in front of Matt Reves' reboot in theaters.

Regardless, our first look at the Justice Society of America has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from fans, with many arguing that the team looks even better than the Justice League! Their costumes have certainly translated well to screen, and seeing Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate proved to be a highlight (who would have thought the former 007 would ever suit up as a superhero?).

The newly released concept art below showcases both Fate and Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam. The former is shown with and without his helmet, and looks pretty damn cool rocking that beard.

Doctor Fate first appeared in the pages of More Fun Comics #55 in 1940. Essentially the DC Universe's Doctor Strange, he's an incredibly powerful magic user and has served on many superhero teams over the years, but is most closely associated with the JSA. Given Black Adam's ties to magic, it makes sense that Fate would attempt to recruit him for the team of heroes he's assembled here.

Black Adam will blast its way into theaters on July 29.
