Black Adam is a little over a month away from arriving in theaters, and Dwayne Johnson has just shared an awesome new poster for the DC Comics adaptation.

Recreating an iconic piece of comic book imagery, the anti-hero sits on his throne and looks every bit the badass doing so. This matches up with a very early piece of concept art from Black Adam and is exactly the sort of thing likely to get comic book fans excited about the character's big screen debut.

After all, it's been a long time coming and Black Adam definitely has the potential to turn the DCEU as we know it on its head.

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Atom Smasher actor Noah Centineo shared high praise for The Rock. "Dwayne [Johnson] is 99 percent more present than most people," he says. "They say don’t meet your idols - not true with Dwayne."

Those comments have previously been echoed by Dr. Fate himself, Pierce Brosnan. Last year, he said, "It's an ensemble piece, Black Adam. You have Dwayne, who's at the pinnacle of his fame and fortune and success and popularity. He is magnificent as Black Adam."

All eyes are on Johnson as he embarks on his first superhero movie role, and it will be very interesting to see how Black Adam fares in the midst of so many changes at Warner Bros. Discovery.

From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action-adventure Black Adam under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods - and imprisoned just as quickly - Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I've Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (James Bond) as Dr. Fate.

Black Adam will electrify audiences in theaters when it's released on October 21, later this year!
