Earlier this week,
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced that
Black Adam would hit theaters on 22 December, 2021, and the actor has now revealed that the movie has gained the services of a very fine DP.
Johnson responded to a Tweet from Collider's Steve Weintraub, adding that Larry Sher has come aboard the project as cinematographer. Sher's previous credits include
The Hangover trilogy, Paul, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and
Joker. He also did additional photography for The Rock's upcoming
Jungle Cruise movie.
Plot details for
Black Adam are still under wraps, but we do know that the character will be portrayed as a hero - something that is quite a departure for the ruthless, if occasionally honorable villain from the DC comic books.
There are rumors that Adam Sztykiel's script will borrow heavily from Peter Tomasi and Doug Mahnke’s
Black Adam: The Dark Age, but we haven't had any official word on that.
