Black Adam will be a big part of Warner Bros.' Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con this Saturday, and we're expecting to see a new trailer, some character posters, and maybe a surprise or two!
Amid rumors that Henry Cavill might be dropping in during the panel to share a long-awaited update on his Superman status, there's speculation that some kind of Black Adam/Man of Steel crossover event could be announced.
That obviously remains to be seen, but for now, we do have three new promo stills for the movie spotlighting the titular Man in Black and Justice Society members Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone.
“I think we made a really good movie. I think fans are gonna really enjoy it," star Dwayne Johnson tells Den of Geek. "I think they’re gonna appreciate it. Not only the quality, but the swing we took to honor the mythology.”
Johnson has always been very confident that fans would embrace this take on Black Adam, but the first trailer was met with something of a mixed response. Hopefully, this Saturday's footage will get more people on board.
"From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods— and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."
Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (the Mamma Mia! and James Bond franchises) as Dr. Fate.
Black Adam will be released nationwide on 21st October 2022 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
