BLACK WIDOW: MOONLIGHT Actor Andre Holland Could Be In The Mix To Play The Main Villain
Yesterday, we got word that Emma Watson might be in line to play the second female lead in Marvel's Black Widow, and now we're hearing that Andre Holland (Moonlight) could be up for the villain role...
The solo Black Widow movie will see the return of Scarlett Johansson as the former KGB assassin turned Avenger, but we may now have some idea of the supporting cast Marvel and director Cate Shortland are looking at to join her.
Yesterday, That Hashtag Show revealed that the likes of Emma Watson, Alice Englert, Dar Zuzovsky and Florence Pugh have read for the "kick ass female Bond" role, and now they're reporting that Andre Holland (Moonlight, Castle Rock) has auditioned to play the villain.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean he's in with a shot of landing the part, but Holland is said to have caught Marvel's attention as they search for the "right mix of a powerful, confident actor who can pull off smart and sexy."
In addition, Marvel appears to be looking for more seasoned stars for a pair of supporting male and female roles, and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite), Sebastian Koch (Bridge of Spies) and Alec Bladwin (Mission: Impossible - Fallout) are said to be in contention.
We'll have to take all of this as rumor for the time being, but be sure to let us know what you think of the names being thrown around here in the comments down below.
