BLACK PANTHER 2: Rumors Persists That Michael B. Jordan Will Return As Killmonger

This isn't the first time we've heard that plans were in place for Michael B. Jordan's return as the villainous Eric Killmonger in Black Panther 2, but a new report now claims to have confirmed it...

Rumors began circulating that Michael B. Jordan was set to return as Eric Killmonger for Black Panther 2 after costar Angela Bassett seemingly let the cat out of the bag during a 2019 interview, but it was generally assumed that she must have misspoke.

Now, a new report from Fandomwire claims to have confirmed that the Creed actor will indeed reprise his villainous role for the upcoming Marvel sequel.

Killmonger appeared to have been killed off at the end of the first movie after being stabbed through the chest. The King of Wakanda's cousin delivered his "death is better than bondage" speech before slumping over, but we didn't actually see him die, and we never found out if T'Challa honored his final wish with a burial at sea.

Even if his death does stick, there's always a chance he could return for flashbacks. A more outlandish possibility is that a different, Multiverse version of the character is introduced. Could we even see Killmonger, not Shuri, take up the mantle of Black Panther?

There are a lot of rumors relating to Black Panther 2 out there at the moments, and while the source has had some scoops pan out, it's best to take this with a pinch of salt for now.

All we know for sure is that the sequel's plot will further explore the characters and subcultures of Wakanda, and the late Chadwick Boseman will not be recast.
