With the release of Marvel and Joe Johnston's
Captain America: The First Avenger movie five days away,
Paramount Pictures recently submitted a finalized cast list. And on that list, the last actor, or rather actress named is Amanda Righetti, whose known for her roles in
The Mentalist and 2009's
Friday the 13th.
The 28 year old actress is set to star as a SHIELD Agent, presumably in the present-day opening and/or closing sequences of
Captain America. And while shes considered a somewhat recognizable actress, a role as minor as a "SHIELD Agent" will reportedly expand in Marvels next highly-anticipated film; the Joss Whedon-directed superhero ensemble
The Avengers.
While anonymous sources confirm the expansion of the role, in-depth details from
Captain America: The First Avenger's closing sequence were
revealed today and slightly detailed exactly how minor Righetti's role is. And these same sources also suggest
that sequence will be included in
The Avengers film.
Another perk for Amanda Righetti being somewhat recognizable is the fact that the "SHIELD Agent" she'll be portraying could very well be a known character from the comics; Sharon Carter, Carol Danvers perhaps? What do you think?
Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans
(Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr.
(Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth
(Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner
