Considering directors Anthony & Joe Russo began editing as they were filming, and not to mention the positive word of mouth from test screening earlier this year, it's safe to say Marvel Studios has had a decent rough cut of Captain America: The Winter Soldier for some time now. However, with the inclusion of January's reshoots, we've now received official word from Stitch Kingdom that a final cut of the Marvel sequel has been signed, sealed, and delivered with a decent running time of 2 hours and 16 minutes. This makes the upcoming political thriller the longest "Phase Two" movie so far, and second-longest of all the Marvel Cinematic Universe ventures, following The Avengers (143 minutes). Anyhow, expect a Captain America: The Winter Soldier marketing push––clips, more posters & TV spots, talk show guest appearances, etc––as we move into March. What do you think?

Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.
