Captain America: Brave New World received a mixed response from fans and critics when it opened in theaters back in February. Extensive reshoots changed everything from The Leader's appearance to which characters were involved in the final battle, and the end result...well, it was what it was.
Still, there was plenty to love about the new Captain America's first movie, including that epic Red Hulk battle in Washington D.C. You'll get to watch that from the comfort of home, without paying for a Digital or Blu-ray copy, when Captain America: Brave New World hits Disney+ on May 28.
In the movie, Sam Wilson takes up the shield for a thrilling new chapter that thrusts him into a global conspiracy - and a high-stakes showdown with the fearsome Red Hulk!
After captivating audiences worldwide in theaters and becoming the #2 highest-grossing film of 2025 domestically, Captain America will next be seen in Avengers: Doomsday, when Anthony Mackie reprises the role. He'll lead of a team of Avengers who will seemingly butt heads with The New Avengers.
It's hard to say whether there will be another Captain America movie featuring Sam Wilson. However, a new Steve Rogers may be introduced post-Avengers: Secret Wars, particularly if it's true that there are plans for a soft reboot of the MCU.
