CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER Star Harrison Ford Plays Hilariously Coy When Quizzed On His MCU Debut

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star Harrison Ford has addressed his MCU debut in Captain America: New World Order, albeit with his usual deadpan humour. Find out what he had to (not) say here...

Harrison Ford has recently been doing the rounds to promote new Apple TV+ series Shrinking, but did his best to avoid questions about his MCU debut during a recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

The host, who we know is a big Marvel fan, asked the legendary actor about taking over from the late William Hurt as General "Thunderbolt" Ross in Captain America: New World Order. Unfortunately, he didn't get the answer he was hoping for...or any answer at all really!

As you can see below, Ford clearly knows next to nothing about the movie, likely meaning he's yet to receive the script. There's a fun back-and-forth between the two, but the actor does let slip that he at least knows about the first scene his character is in. We're guessing that was likely part of the pitch made to him by Marvel Studios when he was offered the role.

Despite being otherwise unrevealing, the video is worth watching as Ford goes on to joke that he first meets Captain America at a "disco" during a "flashback," something we'd actually quite like to see.

Rumour has it the General will be the new President of the United States by the time we next see him, though with The Leader also part of Captain America: New World Order, the prevailing theory is that Ross finally becomes Red Hulk.

With so much Multiversal madness in Phase 4, we still don't know how this story fits into the wider Multiverse Saga.

As for Ford, with it now semi-confirmed that The Sentry will be Thunderbolts' big bad, we're assuming he's only going to be making a one-off appearance in the MCU. Then again, if he only needs to lend his likeness and voice to Red Hulk moving forward, we could see quite a bit of him!

Captain America: New World Order is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
