Disney Boss Reveals Whether Marvel Studios Will Release R-Rated Movies Following DEADPOOL's Success

With Deadpool breaking almost countless box office records, will Disney follow suit by unleashing R-Rated comic book movies on the world? Hit the jump to find out what Bob Iger had to say about that.

With Fox planning to release an R-Rated Wolverine movie and Warner Bros. getting set to unleash a much darker cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on home video, surely Marvel Studios are going to get in on the action, right? Nope. Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed today that there are no plans for any R-Rated Marvel movies in the near future.

Honestly, that isn't a surprise, and having seen the first few episodes of Daredevil season two, I think it's fair to say that they're pretty much set for "R" content on Netflix!

Still, are you disappointed that we won't be getting an R-Rated Avengers movie any time soon? While it would be interesting to see them go down that route, PG-13 may be more than good enough, especially as Iger described Captain America: Civil War as "some of the best Marvel storytelling to date."
