It's pretty well known that Mel Gibson is the kind of guy that isn't afraid to say what he thinks. The Academy Award winning director has been pretty vocal when it comes to the comic book movie genre, and his distaste for it. Not too long ago, Gibson had a few choice words regarding Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman that you can read HERE. However, his dislike for the blockbusters doesn't end with the DC Films Universe.

While promoting his latest film, Hacksaw Ridge, Gibson spoke to The Washington Post about the type of action that is featured in current blockbuster films, especially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying that the MCU contains "violence without conscience." He then stated: “To talk about the violence question, look at any Marvel movie. They’re more violent than anything that I’ve done, but [in my movies,] you give a s--- about the characters, which makes it matter more. That’s all I’ll say.” Fans of the MCU might not agree with Gibson's statement, considering it's the love fans have for characters like Iron Man and Captain America that have helped build Marvel Studios into the powerhouse it is today.

Do you agree with Mel Gibson and his take on the violence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
