Is Evans doing a Brooklyn accent? Could be wrong, but in the car when he says you don't run because you can never stop, it sounds like an accent. A Boston accent, but I'm guessing he'd be going for a Brooklyn accent.

I just came home from watching X-Men: First Class and log in here to see idiots with no understanding of the world they live in patting themselves on the back for creating 'Heroes'.

They're comic-book creations, kids. They aren't real.

daschysta@ - thank you for offering a voice of reason in this wilderness of missing intelligence.

Wittysupername@ - get out in the world and discover more than the country you know. At least look at an atlas sometime. It can only do you some good.

Don't we also almost completely fund the UN and the World Health Organization? Don't Americans on average work harder and more hours and donate more $$$ than any others in the world? The world would fall apart without us, we would survive just fine if everyone else went bye-bye. Which of course WE prevent from happening :)

@Growler - Captain Obvious here thinks he's come up with something profound.

I think you're on a forum where a bunch of geeks and nerds talk about comic movies. FYI - Every website, regardless of the topic, even /b/, has people talking politics. You got sucked into the trolldom buddy.

Perhaps you should visit the world a bit.

The effect of him in the car looks absolutely horrible. Like they were trying to duplicate Frodo & Gandalf in the cart from Fellowship, but because it involves superimposing Evans' face on a double (or digitally shrinking his body), it just falls flat.

Hopefully in the theater I either won't notice, or those scenes won't linger too long. But that still looks genuinely awful.

I think this is gonna be much better than Thor… GO CAP!!!

BTW, the small clip of Cap walking with the Howling Commandos makes him look badass for sure

Wow this is just.....beyond terrible. Oh I am sure comic book fans love it but they don't matter. You have to sell this to the general public and these shoddy trailers don't work. Iron Man, Thor they all had impressive SUPER powered action scenes that would obviously be greatly entertaining, they had high profile actors , they even had some nuggets of humor. But this...? It's nothing. The greatest emphasis seems to be placed on him tackling a guy with his shield....seriously a tackle. That's their big selling point?

It just looks like your average action but the main hero is wearing a silly consume instead. If the marketing team doesn't do a much much better job soon this is going to fail horribly.

Sorry guys, but I'm still not convinced about this movie. I love cap, but the trailers still haven't got me soled to this being a Marvel heavy hitter. All I hear is hype, hype and more hype by comic book fans, what about the mainstream audiences? And what's with the wee body big head thing going on with Steve Rogers before his transformation? Hahaha! Good luck Marvel.

@Intruder You make no sense. Fact is those trailers are horrible marketing when it comes to mainstream audiences. The weakest of all campaigns so far. You need to be damn more impressive if you want to lure the audience. Especially since they converted the movie to 3d
KungFuKoala
KungFuKoala - 6/2/2011, 2:31 AM
Hayley Atwell isn't exactly tall herself, so for Chris to make her look like Gandalf in that car, they've got it completely wrong. He seemed to be much better proportioned in the full trailer months ago. (for exmaple, in the alley fight scene).
