After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

Not watching anything advertised in regards to this film. Won't even go on to talk about stuff they lazily spoiled in the trailers already.

The point is that not everyone see all the trailers and TV spots, the regular people watch 1 or 2 in TV and that's all.
We of course see every damn second that they release, but let face it, even if they show us half movie we"ll go to see it in the theater.

TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 3/6/2014, 2:59 PM
Just as long as the humor isn't forced like in Thor2 and IM3 I'm cool with it. Here's hoping it won't disappoint.*fingers crossed*

I second the notion to not spoil one's self with the soon will be 18 minutes of footage is shown. Too much? Maybe. By now the general audience knows who he is so I think it is too much. Not enough spidey! Haha damn Cincinnati didn't get a special screening, its not a surprise. Hell Jerry Seinfeld won't even come here. Ba doom tiss

if anyone has a problem with the i had a big breakfast line, sure its corny but guess what cap is old fashioned and he wont go around giving one lines like tony,so cap would say something like that

@Spoon Actually this humour kinda works as it matches the tone of the movie, and is very subtle and has a naturalness to it. The comedy I don't enjoy is the silly overblown stuff that seemed forced, like we seemed to get a little too much in Thor 2.

Humour is great, as an audience needs a break from tension, but it is how it is done that is key.

My only issue is the confused marketing with The Winter Solider. They seem to one act as if we are not meant to know who he is, but the next day they'll be a poster showing exactly who he is. I read one magazine article where it said, and I paraphrase: "The mysterious winter solider, who is he?" Etc, whole article was not revealing who he was and we should see the movie to find out. However that same magazine will show latest pics that show exactly who he is.

@ ezio619

IM3 and Thor:TDW felt like the comedy was haphazardly thrown in just because there need to be more comedic moments. Since the the Russo's are actual comedic writers and directors I’m willing to bet that most of the comedy in the movie will feel organic and mesh well with in the context of the story.

IM1 is still one of my favorite cbm's if not my FAVORITE cbm. It simply wouldn't be as good without the humor. Definitely added to the quality of the film. I'm hoping that CAP:TWS will be similar.
