Well hello all, last night I was able to go to the newest member of the Marvel Cinimatic Universe.  Let me tell you, it was fantastic.   The storyline was nearly perfect, can't really pick out what was wrong with it, but I'm sure honest trailers, cinima sins, and so on can find those out for you.  So here's my rundown on each character and what was good and bad about each one.

Captain America

Wow, all we have to say is he's amazing.  He's pretty much adapted to modern life, he uses the internet now as well, but he has no place.  Of course the bad guys show up and from there he's in his action for the rest of the film.  It was amazing to see, because HYDRA has taken over SHIELD.  Meaning all his work was for nothing, it was a pretty low blow.  His action was PERFECT! everything about the way he fought was great, as close to the comics as you'll get.  The way he just tore people up was great, and if you need comparison, this version of captain america would have made quick work of Batman from The Dark Knight trilogy (in hand to hand combat).  Obviously The Dark Knight was made to be a realistic Batman, but you get the point.  Dude was a beast.

Highlights: Of course fighting, his dynamic with Bucky was amazing.  the best quote was "I'm with you 'til the end of the line".  Powerful and people around me teared up actually.

Lowpoints...... Um... a little help here? Possibly his unrealistic jump from 20 stories and landed on his shield, but that thing is vibrant absorbent... so that was probably about it.

Black Widow

Yet again, great.  We showed that she has emotion, her action again was fantastic.  Plus she's smart.  Loved her throughout, not much more to say.  She obviously was the side kick that was helping Captain America save the world.

Highlights: Her and Cap worked really well together.  She like him realized that everything she had done had been helping HYDRA, and it impacted her.  Best lines were "Shall we play a game?" in reference to war games, and "I'm here to pick up a fossel".  Her end scene with the government was great.  I think it set up that the Avengers are now the worlds security, not SHIELD. Even though she never said Avengers in it.

Lowpoints: Again very few, my biggest was kind of were is she going at the end.  She kinda just left but I guess that will be explained in the Avengers.

The Falcon

Great addition to the team.  Veterine from a special flight program, had very few ties other then that Cap kept lapping him.  Mackie played the part great, and he was amazing in action.  They did a good job introducing him, and making him useful.  Way more used than War Machine was used in the Iron Man trilogy.

Highlights: Flying... It was amazing.  his "Dude, Captain America needs my help" line was great.

Lowpoints: It was a very lucky turn up that the guy Cap crashed with was one of only two people using the Falcon technology.

Nick Fury

PERFECT! Great, we finally saw him go off the grid like he does in the comics, safe housing, and really some him go off in the chase scene.  Throwing in Maria Hill with him, she too was great.  Both did a good job throughout the film, and Maria Hill actually did something this movie.  Hopefully this sets up if SHIELD comes back that Hill will become director.

Highpoints: Faking his death.  Showing that he is so deep down that it took Captain America to show him that dude, let SHIELD go.

Lowpoints: Very few, it was unrealistic how he escaped the Winter Soldier.

Agents Carter (Both of them)

Great to see some closure on Peggy and what she did after Captain America.  She got old... Sharon was good as well, liked her action, good of them to introduce her.  Cap obviously had a little thing for her, asking her for coffee.

Now the baddies.

Alexander Pierce

Better then I thought.  It was obvious he was the clique leader of the bad guys who also rules the good guys, but it was actually interesting.  He had quite a plan, and he was ruthless.

Highlights: Not caring one bit about the Winter Soldier, saying "Hail HYDRA" with his last breath was pretty cool.

Lowpoints: Pretty much just being clique, turning down the Nobel Piece Pize was kinda lame.

The Winter Soldier

Wow... all I can say is WOW! Perfect adaption of him.  Man the dude was meesed up, felt pitty for him, getting mind whiped every week or so.  Action was flawless, and he brought such a moment with Cap. Can't wait to see him again.

Highlights: "Who the hell is bucky?". Cap: "I'm your friend" response: "Your my mission!".  Of Course pulling cap to the shore and walking away was powerful.  That was some well done emotions.

Lowpoints: To little screen time, and the end credits scene needed a little more.  I mean sure, he knows he's bucky, but give us something...

Crossbones

Brock Rumlow should I say.  Him and his STRIKE team were cool (another comic team).  Really enjoyed him, he made good for the Muscle of the movie.  Thought he was perfect, just your hard nosed get stuff done bad guy.  Him being alive at the end leads me to believe he will be back in costume and wanting revenge.

Highlights: About to kill that kid was pretty dark, I was at the edge of my seat.  Fight scene with cap was sweet.

Lowpoints: No costume, but lets not worry to much, he was done well and he could still come back with it on.

Arnim Zola

Of all the people to set up HYDRA, I didn't think he would.  He seemed very scared to be part of HYDRA in the first one, but man he was kind of creepy.  Knowing he was behind just about everything was cool, and I'm going to say we say him as much from the comics as we need.  Sure he couldn't walk, but he switched TV's, he had the camera, and he was doing just about anything he could have done anyway.

Highlights: Killing starks parents scene was cool.

Lowpoints: I mean he didn't have his suit, but like I said above, I can live with it.

Batroc

Cool, am I the only one who likes when the small characters get put in movies? I mean yeah you already know Red Skull will show up, you know Loki will show up, you know the Joker will show up, but its the little characters that don't need to be named that make me happy.

Highlights: taunting cap

Lowpoints: didn't do enough to have any.

Sitwell

Great, it was actually king of meaningful when he was a HYDRA agent, didn't expect it, and I liked him in the short films.

Highlights: Getting thrown into that bus, that was sweet.

Lowpoints: Maybe gave cap a little bit too much info.

Extras!

Stern was great, now we actually know he was trying to get Iron Man for HYDRA, which actually gives a little more validity to Iron Man 2.

Howling Commando's being named, GREAT! Didn't have that in the first which made me mad, but I am satisfied now.  Also the whole Captain America display thing was cool! Plus Stan Lee's cameo was great! Actually served a small point to the movie.

Cap's suits were great! Falcon's suits were great, his ultimate was done justice, and his new one was sweet.  Get some red on those wings next movie?

The references to Banner and Stark were good! Both helped the plot, the serum, and the helicarriers.  Now the birthday party one was a bit of a stretch, but I mean sure Pierce could want that.

Baaron Strucker looked sweet! Lord did those twins look creepy! Can't wait

Well that's about all I got! The movie was powerful, intense, great action, and my third favorite Comic Book Movie ever. 8.7 out of 10. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks all, be sure to check out my next editorial exploring what can be done with the Captain America franchise in the future.

It was awesome, I'd say tied with the first Iron Man as the best Marvel movie.
