First CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Trailer Attached To THOR 2?

As if you needed another reason to go see Thor: The Dark World, the head of Disney's Russian division has reportedly confirmed the first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be attached.

With Thor: The Dark World just a little over a month from its much-anticipated fall release, Marvel/Disney's promotional efforts are slowly but surely kicking into high gear, especially in the coming weeks. But during a recent Cinema Expo in Russia, a highly expected marketing jolt for the upcoming sequel was reportedly revealed. According to Kinopoisk.ru (via Twitter's @AidarSM), the director of marketing for Walt Disney in Russia, Helen Brody, confirmed the first trailer for next summer's Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be attached to Thor: The Dark World. Of course, the teaser will likely be online prior to November 7, especially considering The Dark World opens first internationally. But the trailer will get its first theatrical run with the Chris Hemsworth-starrer, which could give the film a tiny boost in ticket sales if the Marvel brand isn't enough. After all, early word on Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the Russo brothers have "knocked it out of the park." What do you think?

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

Best CBM of the year will go to Thor once it hits, bringing the Hammer Down on the 'so called' CBM of the year IM3.

Think it will be a toss up between Cap 2 & GOTG battling it out for CBM of the year for 2014. ASM2 & DOFP will be battling for 2nd & 3rd places respectfully.

So, is this Cap 2 Trailer just attached to the U.S. Release of Thor or are the rest of the world getting the Cap 2 trailer attached as well? I know it tends to differ from country to country on who gets what trailers with films usually.

I just hope Thor has a worthwhile post-credit scene leading up to another film. The IM3 post-credit scene was a little pointless and teased nothing.

@Levi

That's Bart Scott. Revis doesn't have the personality to do something like that.

I prefer the post credit scenes stick to tying to other films, but not necessarily the next film after that is coming out.

Like, I'm hoping the post credit scene for Thor 2 is something that ties to GOTG rather than Cap 2, although most people would think it probably makes sense to tie it to Cap because that's the next release after Thor.

I think as long as continuity is remembered & kept in check, Marvel's post credit scenes don't have to be for the next following Marvel release as long as it ties in with the universe / continuity in a logical way.

Hoping for an Ultron nod in Cap 2, as well as in the Thor 2 post credit scene

That's too bad. Don't get me wrong, really want to see The Winter Soldier, but I was hoping against hope for a Guardians teaser.

On a side note, do we know when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer will be popping up yet?

Who cares who it was. I don't know the Jets. I didn't think people cared about the Jets this much.

Also can't wait. I'm not really hyped for Thor 2. Will still see it. But I can't [frick]ing wait for Captain America 2.

It will be up there among the best Marvel solo films with Spider-Man 2, Iron Man, & The Wolverine.

CAN'T WAIT!!!

There should be a trailer for CA: TWS already. Trailers are usually released 7 months before the movie and this one comes out in April.
