It Seems Jeremy Renner WILL Return As 'Hawkeye' In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
Despite previously dismissing his archer's inclusion as a "rumor," recent reports suggest that Jeremy Renner will indeed reprise his Avengers: Age of Ultron role as Hawkeye in Captain America: Civil War
Though it was Jeremy Renner who first revealed the possibility that he could reprise his Avengers role as Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, in next year's Captain America: Civil War, the Age of Ultron star later declared his involvement was only a rumor considering he didn't have "official conversations" about it then. However, it now seems that Hawkeye will make it out of Avengers: Age of Ultron this summer alive (despite speculation suggesting otherwise) as The Hollywood Reporter has nonchalantly revealed that the actor is set to "shoot Captain America: Civil War this spring" before a number of other movie projects. To be certain this claim wasn't just fueled by previous rumors, we asked the trade source if the casting was a done deal and was told, "as far as I'm hearing, yes," in response. Although it is not really "official" until Marvel Studios makes the announcement, expect Hawkeye to appear in the first "Phase Three" installment, which will see the ever-growing superhero community become divided. Among those Renner will be reunited with is Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson, who recently assured that Civil War is her next gig. What do you think?
Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, Captain America: Civil War stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman, Frank Grillo, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie & Daniel Brühl, with appearances by Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson expected. The film opens May 6, 2016
