Robert Downey Jr Comments On CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 - 'It's Gonna Be Huge'

We had yet to hear from the Iron Man star about reprising his Avengers: Age of Ultron role in Captain America 3, but now Robert Downey Jr. has briefly commented. Check it out after the jump!

When Yahoo! asked Robert Downey Jr. about the news that he will be back as Iron Man in the still-untitled Captain America 3, the actor smiled responding, "Yeah, that sounds very exciting." Can he comment further? "If I do, I'll just regret it... it's gonna be huge... whatever it is," he said slyly. Though Marvel Studios has yet to give us anything official about the story or the extended cast, Captain America 3 is said to establish the famous Civil War storyline with Steve Rogers and Tony Stark feuding over the Superhuman Registration Act. Anyhow, Downey had teased that Marvel will be making some "fun" announcements very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. What do you think?

I thought this movie was going to be about finding bucky and dealing with hydra again. im on the fence about this because i feel that iron man will overshadow capt. Lately i have gotten a little and by little i mean a tiny bit bored with marvel. But i am still looking forward to GOTG2 and doctor strange but i guess im bored because no new heroes are getting their movie besides doc strange like idk FREAKIN BLACK PANTHER!

Still not sure how I feel about anything more than a small RDJ appearance in Cap 3. Pesky billionaires, let the boyscouts have their movies for themselves!!

Being that RDJ's recent movie The Judge bombed pretty badly, expect him to make as many Marvel movies as possible. He will be playing Iron Man until his 70's.

Not overwhelmed by the use of the Civil War story arc. So many better ways to go.

It will be phenomenal, but the direction now being taken by Marvel Studios is a little disappointing, in my book, and I'm one of Feige's biggest cheerleaders.

Still working on believing this may actually be happening.
Whatever it is, the Russos can handle it.

Clearly it won't be Civil War straight up, because there aren't enough heroes (or even secret identities), so stop asking how it's gonna work.

And it won't be a straight VS movie because that'd be pretty lame.

@ Bropous. Sometimes the obvious makes too much sense it can confuse people. They could have done a Masters of Evil plot. Could have even done a plot involving a fully powered Gravaton as the villain. But they are following the same formula as the first Avengers in making a movie about a hoard of weaker villains lead by a strong and cunning villain.

RDJ was not the only teasing some announcements before the civil war news came out.
The most obvious date for all this is November 4, in the documentary of the 75 years of Marvel

@BlackHulk
It didn't make a lot of money but is definitely not a bomb.
Also, he's been teasing more work with Marvel even before his movie came out.
