US Winter Olympians Sport Awesome CAPTAIN MARVEL And CAPTAIN AMERICA-Inspired Ski Gear

The 23rd Olympic Winter Games officially kicked off in Pyeongchang, South Korea on Friday, and the gear sported by the US ski and snowboard teams certainly caught the attention of Marvel comic book fans.

The 23rd Olympic Winter Games is now officially underway in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and the men and women's ski and snowboard teams will be sporting some eye-catching Marvel-inspired outfits.

Below, you find images of Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn, who are decked out in some pretty awesome Captain Marvel and Captain America ski gear.

The suits were designed by retired alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist Julia Mancuso, and are part of a collaboration between Marvel and Spyder, the US ski team’s official supplier.

Why yes, I am still neck-deep in the early Fantastic Four comics, including reading the hilariously over-the-top self-aggrandizing bulletin pages, why do you ask?

(Although, I've also been reading through the early appearances of the Legion of Superheroes starting with the early sixties Superboy stuff, because... wow, those stories are nuts in exactly the kind batty way that I'm in a mood for.)

@Stinkor1 - the iconic suit is blue and red, in the leaked one they seem to be doing green as a callback to the original Mar-Vell kree uniform which was white and green.
