Brie Larson first played Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel, later appearing (briefly) in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. She's since made a cameo appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings, but will once again take centre stage in The Marvels.
The Captain Marvel sequel isn't set to be released until February 17, 2023, but there's a huge amount of excitement to see Carol Danvers team up with Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).
Production reportedly wrapped back in November, but Larson is clearly staying in superhero shape. The actress took to social media yesterday to share an impressive workout video that highlights her Marvel Cinematic Universe physique. The Oscar-winner will likely be needed for reshoots at some point, not to mention photoshoots and perhaps even other Marvel Studios projects.
Another interesting Twitter post from Larson saw her tease Zawe Ashton's villainous role in The Marvels, though we still don't have any official details about the movie beyond plans for Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Spectrum to blast into action together. Chances are we won't learn more until mid/late 2022 as there are lots of other upcoming movies and TV shows to promote before this one.
