Thanks to IGN, we have a first look at the Marvel Legends action figures on the way for this November's The Marvels. Original plans called for the sequel to be released in July, likely explaining why these will find their way into stores sooner than expected.
As well as offering a closer look at the costumes worn by Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau in the movie, it's now confirmed that the latter will use her Photon codename from the comic books. For a time, it appeared Marvel Studios planned to go with Spectrum, but a decision has clearly been made since then.
Some fans are disappointed Kamala Khan has ditched her homemade costume for a flashier super suit, so fingers crossed that's addressed in a meaningful way here. And yes, that does appear to be another Flerken alongside Kamala, confirming rumours about us seeing more than just Goose in the Captain Marvel follow-up.
Take a closer look at each of these action figures based on The Marvels below.
In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.
Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."
The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.
Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.
The Marvels arrives in theaters on November 10.
