Marvel Studios has debuted a new featurette/trailer for The Marvels titled "Journey to The Marvels," and it recaps the events of the three heroes' previous adventures in Captain Marvel, WandaVision, and Ms. Marvel.

The teaser includes plenty of new footage from the upcoming MCU sequel, as we see Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) cross paths and learn to work as a team.

We also get to see Danvers and Rambeau come face-to-face for the first time since the latter's mother passed away, and it looks like Captain Marvel is going to have to put some work in to repair that strained relationship.

As things stand, The Marvels is set to fly into theaters on November 10, but a delay is still a possibility if the Hollywood strikes go on for much longer.

"In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”

The film also stars Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson. Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Nia DaCosta and Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik

@MarvelZombie616 - man this actually looks pretty good. but switch places when you use powers.. that seems a little silly.

Also Brie looks hot. yep I said something like that.

@MarvelZombie616 - My greatest concern regarding this film is giving awareness to the fact that the majority is not concerned about this film...

In other words:

@iceballsreborn - Um, you are not alone on both accounts, my friend. I also think that this looks like a lot of fun, and yeah, the switching places when you use your powers seems a bit silly, but they've already kinda explained it in one of the trailers and hopefully they will do a better job in the movie itself. I think that Marvel is VERY aware of where they stand with the fans and are going to make a serious effort to set things right after "The Age of Chapek" which we are hopefully emerging from.

Regarding Brie... I'm right there with you dude. I'm a sucker for a girl with a nice tight tummy (especially if it right under nice cleavage), so the larger version of that thumbnail image with her in that tight white top with the tummy and everything... *chef's kiss*.

@StSteven - im actually quite disappointed that MCU has shown us a fair amount of male bodies, but not much of the females. Bries assets deserve to have freedom.

@iceballsreborn - Yeah, I feel ya there, but it's a difficult line to walk. I mean, Disney being a family-friendly company, doesn't want to come off as being sexist or something by showing too much T&A, whether it's clothed or not. I mean, they have already given us quite a few movies with ScarJo in skin-tight body suits (which I've quite enjoyed as well), so it's not like they haven't given all the horny 13 year olds in us something to gawk at already.

I first saw Brie Larson in 21 Jump Street (yes, before I saw her in Scott Pilgrim)...

...and would never guessed at the time how much of a smoke show she'd end up being.

@WhatIfRickJames - No! No no n-n-n-n-o! You are NOT allowed to see a movie just because "it looks fun"! Don't you understand?!? Nowadays every act we take, every move we make, every breath we take, someone will be judging you (and if you heard the Police song in your hear while reading that it was intentional). So your are NOT entitled to simply go watch a movie because "it looks fun". You must MUST have some sort of political/sociological agenda as your reason for doing so.

I mean, honestly, do you seriously think that anyone went to see "Barbie" because "it looked fun"? Are you kidding me?!? Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE who paid money to see that movie has some sort of agenda because NO ONE goes to see movies just for fun anymore. It has to mean something, damn it! Like, I don't know explicitly what my 7 and 4 year old daughters' agendas were for seeing that movie, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with shaming me for being a male or something. Dunno. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a tea party with "Barbie Extra" and "Barbie Fantasy Hair" to return to where we are going to discuss global climate change and why our kitties keep getting wet all the time.

StSteven
StSteven - 8/31/2023, 11:17 PM
@WhatIfRickJames - Okay, sorry about that rambling diatribe (my mind was all over the place at the time). I was just trying to say that you/we should all be allowed to watch these movies simply on the basis that they look like fun and not have to justify why we are watching them, so you hit the nail on the head by saying that you simply want to watch the film because it looks like fun. I also watch movies simply because they look like they'd be fun ("Cocaine Bear" anyone?).

My point was just that sometimes people take movies, and those who choose to watch those movies, to be some kind of political/sociological statement, as has already started to happen with this movie on this site. So I guess I was just giving you a kudos for keeping it simple and real by saying simply "I’ll see it because it looks fun.". Is there a better reason than that?

(Hopefully that made more sense than my last post 😊).

The journey to the Marvels is as follows: Captain Marvel releases and people despise Brie.....some reasons for said disdain are rooted in a male driven inferiority complex on a mass scale.....others are due to her proclivity for being heavily insufferable in most interviews. Her cast mates seem to be only barely willing to put up with her.

Fast forward to recent times in which Feige bows down to the COCK of the walk and adds two other annoying main protagonists to her sequel in an attempt to limit her as leading protagonist whilst also checking important nu-hollywood boxes in the category of representation.

Conclusion: the dictionary definition of insanity.
