Yesterday's exciting MCU Phase 4 preview officially revealed that the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel will be titled The Marvels, and Marvel.com has now followed up that announcement by sharing a brief logline for the movie.

It really doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know, but it does confirm that Brie Larson's Carol Danvers will be joined by Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, hence the "The Marvels" title. It also reuses the "higher, further, faster" tagline from the first film.

"Marvel Studios’ The Marvels will feature Brie Larson returning to the role of Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers. In the film, she’ll be joined by Teyonah Parris, who was first introduced as adult Monica Rambeau in Marvel Studios’ WandaVision, along with Iman Vellani, who will appear as Ms. Marvel in the upcoming Disney+ series of the same name. Prepare to experience it and fly higher, further, and faster with the film, directed by Nia DaCosta!"

There's no mention of British actress Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat, Velvet Buzzsaw), but the trades have previously reported that she's be cast as the main villain (Moonstone would be our guess).

In related news, The Ronin has managed to confirm that Candyman production designer Cara Brower will rejoin director Nia DaCosta on The Marvels. Brower's other credits as PD and Arts Director include Our Friends, Jordan Peele's Us and Hail, Caesar!

The Marvels is set to fly into theaters on November 11, 2022. In case you missed it or just fancy another watch, you can check out the Phase 4 preview below.
