Why they released it at this hour of the night/morning is anyone's guess, but as San Diego Comic-Con revs up, Marvel Studios has debuted the full trailer for The Marvels.

This teaser features plenty of new footage from the Captain Marvel sequel, and also gives us a more detailed explanation as to why the movie's trio of intergalactic heroes - Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamla Khan (Iman Vellani) - wind up switching places.

There aren't many surprises, but we do get a slightly better idea of why Zawe Ashton's villain is targeting Captain Marvel, along with some exciting shots of Danvers blasting into action.

Check out the new trailer and poster below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

"In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”

The film also stars Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon. Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.

The Marvels hits U.S. theaters on November 10th, 2023.
