Though we're still waiting on an official announcement, recent Instagram posts from some crew members who worked on The Marvels appeared to confirm that principal photography has now wrapped on Nia DaCosta's MCU sequel, and some new photos from the set have now found their way online.

These snaps give us a first glimpse of Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan in her updated Ms. Marvel costume. As you'll see from the first photo, her outfit isn't a million miles away from the one she'll don in her solo Disney+ series, but there are a few notable differences. The red color scheme is more prominent, for one, and some logos have been added to the arms.

The photos also feature other actors/extras in full costume (one of them is definitely a Kree), and a look at the interior of a set. We're not sure which location this is supposed to be, but there's a good chance it's an alien planet.

Plot details for the Captain Marvel sequel are still under wraps (you can check out a vague logline here), but we do know that WandaVision's Teyonah Parris will reprise the role of Monica Rambeau, and British actress Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat, Velvet Buzzsaw) is on board as the main villain, who is rumored to be a gender-swapped take on Kree warrior Ael-Dan. Of course, Brie Larson will also return as Carol Danvers.

In addition, Samuel L. Jackson recently confirmed that he will appear as Nick Fury.

DaCosta will direct from a script by WandaVision writer Megan McDonnell. The Marvels is set to fly into theaters on February 17, 2023.
