With the contracts of many of their actors coming to an end after Avengers: Infinity War and the story which began in The Avengers set to finally reach its conclusion, it's clear that everything is going to be different once Phase 3 reaches its end. Thankfully, that doesn't mean we're going to see the Marvel Cinematic Univers as we know it come to a close! "I think you look at comics as a guide," Kevin Feige tells Entertainment Weekly in their latest issue. "I think there will be a finality to moments of Phase Three, as well as new beginnings that will mark a different, a very different, a distinctively different chapter in what will someday be a complete first saga made up of three phases."
Of course, just because this MCU will be different doesn't mean we won't see plenty of familiar faces. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has already ben semi-confirmed, and when asked about the decision to intorduce so many new characters in Phase 3, Feige added: "That’s somewhat intentional to go and explore the other aspects [of the universe]." So, chances are that the likes of Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor will be stepping aside to let some new characters take centre stage. Even so, it's hard to imagine cash cows like them being left on the shelf too long, so it's going to be interesting to see whether Marvel finds a way of bringing back the same actors or just recast the roles!
