Tommy Lee Jones Opens Up On Captain America Role & Men In Black 3!

Essentially revealing his military role in Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger to be a one we've seen before, actor Tommy Lee Jones also opens up on the Men In Black 3.

Chatting shortly with New York's Vulture magazine, Oscar winning actor Tommy Lee Jones opens up vaguely on his 'Col. Chester Phillips' role in Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger movie, as well the latest Men In Black installment.

What are you doing in Captain America? I mean, literally: What are you doing in Captain America!?
"Yeah, I ask myself that same question every day! The character I play is the one you’ve seen in a thousand movies: the gruff, skeptical officer overseeing a team of talented, slightly sarcastic, specially talented soldiers."

And I’m guessing you’re confounded by the Captain
"Not confounded, exactly. Skeptical. At first. And then convinced."

Is it still fun to do those?
"Men in Black is a hell of a lot of fun. I can’t think of any better company than Will Smith or [director] Barry Sonnenfeld. It’s just a pure joy all day, every day."

Can you give me a sense of the plot of this one?
"No. I don’t really know what the plotline is. There are vast pieces of the script yet unwritten."

One week for me.
"One week for me"

Does that mean that you die early on?
"Well, that’s a strange concept. I don’t want to say too much about the movie because I don’t know a lot and I would like for audiences to anticipate buying a ticket."

While Captain America: The First Avenger is expected to invade theaters July 22, in 3D, Men In Black 3 releases May 25, next year in 3D as well.
