The minions were breakout stars of the animated film Despicable Me.

The merchandise-selling creatures couldn't speak English, but they could certainly hold down a franchise. Not only did Despicable Me go on to receive sequels, but the minions got the spotlight in their own spinoff as well - titled, you guessed it, Minions.

Titan Comics publishes a series for anyone who can't get enough of the lovable yellow creatures called Minions: Paella, and the second issue, which releases today, is quite the laugh.

Sure, there isn't a ton of substance within the comic itself - but that isn't the point. A series of silent strips, Minions: Paella remind us of a time when we celebrated comics without words in the newspapers - and that's a good thing. Adventuring with the silent creatures is fun, with them getting themselves into messes almost every page which will leave you wanting to see just what they'll be up to next.

If you find yourself a fan of silent comics or the Despicable Me franchise, this is worth a look for you - while - if your children like the minions, this might be a great holiday gift for them.

The breakout mascots of Despicable Me (and their own movie, Minions) are back in a new set of hilarious comic gags! Travel the world with the Minions , as they sample the world’s cuisine – spiced with their own brand of silliness.
