Katy Perry On Accusations She Stole Fashion Sense From KATY KEENE Comics

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Katy Perry finally addressed the accusations that she stole her "unique" fashion style from an obscure 1940's comic book character, Katy Keene.

Over the past few years, people started to notice some striking similarities between Katy Perry's outrageous costumes and those of a comic character named, Katy Keene. Keene, first appeared in Wilbur Comics #5 (1944). She received her own comic in 1949, and was known as "America's Queen of Pin-Ups and Fashions." Readers could submit designs for her clothing. During its run the character was portrayed as a singer, a model and even a movie star.

At some point, the accusations got back to Perry who told Rolling Stone: "I saw that a few months ago and the Internet is so crazy. Like, that's crazy! I want to go get an MRI right now and have them look inside me and make sure I'm not a comic! But what freaked me out about it is, we looked into it, and it turned out she has a sister who's a redhead. And my sister is a redhead! And I was like, '[frick]! Stop it!' I mean, it's pretty interesting. But it's not that deep! Like I would have been, like a physicist if I were that smart, you know what I’m saying? If I was that smart and that calculated, I would be, like, something else."

Who cares? Only reason she is famous is her fits. Musical equivalent of Scarlet Johanson. Remove the jugs and there is nothing special remaining.

Also, these accusations are old as shit. You'd think she would've addressed it sooner...right? Either way, the whole "uh no I didn't steel you guys are stupid seriously [frick] off" attitude is really, really funny. Makes you think she's secretly hiding something.... Or maybe people are looking too much into a comic she probably never heard about when her career was kicking off.

Seems like a nice person, pretty face, pretty body, makes millions of dollars doing what she loves...

Can't hate her, but I'm just not into her. *shrug*

Sorry, I'm not one of the millions of dudes who drools all over her nice looking tits.

And on topic, I just don't care if she looks like a comic book character. People emulate what appeals to them.

It would be pretty amazing if there was something about Katy Keene comics that was somehow ingrained genetically in all of us so that it made this happen by accident.

How does one accuse another of "stealing" fashion?

That's just stupid.

I hope Juicy J came in her face and called her a slut around the time they shot that video. Her tits are why I keep buying her albums though.

They say that if you change something 30% you can claim it as your own 'original' stuff. I think her garbage here falls into that category.

It is a government conspiracy. She was genetically made in the illuminati lab, from sugar, spice, and everything nice. Until the good doctor accidentally dropped some formula x, insane amounts of breast tissue, and a Katie Keene comic into her mixture.

Um... who cares? You cant copyright style. Halloween you have women dressing up as almost all of those anyway.

Shes hot, her music is fun and she seems like a fun person herself (and a bit flaky) who cares that her colorful costumes might be a reflection of a comic book character?

Some stuff looks really close! The hair style and the outfit designs. It seems blatantly derived from this source. But I guess you could say comic books inspire everybody in some way. I would say it's more of a huzzah for comics and their effect on popular culture.
