CBJ's Top 5 Comic Book Cartoon Holiday Specials, EPIC Video Review Spectacular!

So are you ready for it?

Its Comic Book Jerk's very first holiday special! In my top 5 animated comic book cartoon holiday specials, I try to point out the obviously ridiculous moments as well as searching for the true meaning of the holidays. Be aware there are plenty of spoilers, and don't take these reviews too seriously. If you're offended by coarse language and adult subject matter, then you should avoid these reviews! Feel free to boost it to 1080 for better quality! So let's kick it off!

5. Justice League "Comfort and Joy"

My biggest surprise with this holiday special was that it existed! I don't know how many times I overlooked this episode on the DVD's. I was very upset to notice that Batman was completely missing in this episode and it left me wondering about the continuity of the DC animated universe, because on two occasions Batman's character already had his holiday specials; the first one being the second episode and the second Christmas special was the first episode of The new Batman Adventures. Although it's not mentioned in the review, you're better off skipping this Christmas special and just watching this video.

4. X-Men Evolution "On Angels Wings"

This show just makes me angry. That's all I can say. The only redeeming quality to this episode is the introduction of Angel.

3. Spectacular Spiderman "Reinforcements"

This was one of my favorite shows. In this review I address the haters. It is one of the most action-packed specials on this list, and although it doesn't really feel like a Christmas special, there are a few moments at the end that would make this episode an awesome holiday tradition!

2. X-men "Have Yourself a Morlock Little X-Mas"

I seriously love this show but after the last part of season 5, the animation and the writing made it almost unbearable to watch. I'm surprised that this episode is so terrible as far as animation; it came out around season 4. But it has become one of my favorite holiday traditions; it rates up there with Home Alone or National Lampoon's. The story is actually pretty good compared to the other Holiday Specials like Comfort and Joy and that awful X-Men Evolution.

1. Batman the Animated Series "Christmas with The Joker"

There is just so much to say about Batman the Animated Series. It was a show that had something for everyone. Its first two seasons was my personal favorite, It left me feeling betrayed when they decided that in season 3 they would change the name to The New Batman Adventures. They completely ignored Jason Todd's existence, turned Tim Drake into a wuss, and to be honest the animation was a little too cheerful for me compared to the other two seasons. But anyway, every Christmas I watch this and like the X-Men series it's become one of my holiday traditions. One thing that I didn't talk about in this review is that the first episode of The New Batman Adventures was in fact a holiday special, too. But put that out of your mind and enjoy one of my last reviews of the year.

SPECIAL BONUS!!!!

Roy, Thor's cousin, wanted to do a very special holiday review of some of his own traditions as well, and is here to talk about some of the best and worst movies to watch on Christmas.
