SPOILERS ahead for the events of Avengers And X-Men: Axis. In the 7th issue of that miniseries, it was revealed that Magneto is not actually the biological father of Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, meaning that they might not necessarily be mutants at all. Ever since it was announced that those characters would be introduced to the MCU in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, fans have wondered how Marvel would get around the problem of not being able to even say the word mutant in their films, and making Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch Inhumans certainly solves the issue given there's a movie featuring those guys in the works. But that's still just speculation of course. Take a look at this new teaser image for the new team of Uncanny Avengers which will debut in a new ongoing series this January from by Rick Remender and Daniel Acuna.

So then why was he depowered with the rest of the mutants in House of M? Marvel even gave him a mini-series about being a normal dude after losing his mutant powers.

I have no problem with Wanda and Pietro being Inhumans. Who knows if their mother Magda had DNA that could be Inhuman? And when you have the High-Evolutionary involved -anything is possible.

Good they should do this , I said long ago how many new characters do you think will get their start in comics that Marvel does not own the movie rights to . If it was me I would only build up the ones I could add in my movies .

I always liked that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were Magneto's children. The change just reeks of the MCU taking priority.

Just to spite fox? That's harsh! I hope Marvel respects the history of the characters and continues to keep them as Mutants. Making them an inhuman doesn't do anything for the character. It just becomes a loop hole for the integration of other entertainment mediums. Granted the Terrigen mist stuff from Fantastic Four and Mutants is all in Stan Lee territory so it's really just splitting hairs. But changing that much of the story? Too much.

Don't mind the costume but [frick]ing hell... This is dumb, not quite as dumb as the whole 'Marcus Johnson/Nick Fury Jr' bullshit but still pretty dumb, I'm DC just go with visual changes as opposed to this cinematic synergy crap...

Just reboot the Ultimate universe, in the last couple of years it's lost it's way. It can be the universe where you pander to MCU only fans.

Just reboot the Ultimate universe, it has lost it's way in the last couple of years. That's where they can pander to the MCU.
