• Kanan Jarrus--in STAR WARS REBELS, he’s a cocky, sarcastic renegade fighting against the Galactic Empire alongside the rag-tag crew of the Ghost...but years before, at the height of the Clone Wars, he was known as Caleb Dume, Jedi Padawan under the instruction of Jedi Master Depa Billaba. Neither master nor apprentice ever suspected that the Clone Troopers they commanded would turn on them upon the issuing of Order 66—the order to execute all Jedi. How did Caleb Dume survive? How did he learn to survive on his own? And how did he become the man we know as Kanan Jarrus? Writer Greg Weisman (writer/executive producer on STAR WARS REBELS, SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN) and artist Pepe Larraz (DEADPOOL VS. X-FORCE, THOR, INHUMAN) bring us a tale bridging the years between the Clone Wars and Rebels!

Having read Star Wars v3 001, I look forward to future installments. I very much enjoyed that they were their own group of Rebels in the Rebel Alliance, unlike other comics which make them out to be high ranking leaders of the Rebellion.

@MarkyMarkRises

Very much agree. Luke is supposed to be a commander by Empire, and I know it makes sense that he'd rise through the ranks pretty quickly due to blowing up the Death Star, but they put way too much emphasis on the main heroes being these high-up Rebels in the EU.

@MonsterSquad35

The guy they got to do the covers for the Darth Vader series did the artwork for Star Wars #1, but none of the comics afterward. They should've just kept him.

"Vader returns to Geonosis to build his army!"

Interested in seeing what's up with this, though. Does that mean that the Empire is trying to rebuild the Battle Droid army? Why? They were totally useless during the prequels.

That John Cassaday Vader looks asian. I usually like his work but it's clear he didn't use a single reference to draw Vader, except maybe a vintage action figure. The Adi Granov cover, on the other hand, is undoubtedly, the Sideshow Collectibles sixth scale Vader figure. It's identical down to the grill, squared off armor details and suit patterning. Pretty cool since I see it on my shelf every day.
