I can understand that alan moore is upset , but he must understand this is not a novel . It is comic book superheros he is lucky they havent already over played and used these heroes. I am sure it will be ok , but i would of liked Alan Moore a part of it . Not against it !!!

It's still shitty that DC said they wouldn't do this without Moores consent, but then went ahead and did it anyway. The story is done. No more needs to be told.

My God DC comics are whores without a shred of integrity, they'd gimmick, repackage and sell anything for a quick buck!

There's not a single important story about any of these characters past lives that didn't get told already in the graphic novel. This is just a superfluous marketing exercise to print more comics that are only worthy of a land-fill the minute they roll off the press.

This is why good writers and artists die inside, they're made to work on bandwagon-marketing crap instead of actually coming up with their own original ideas and carving their own history in the genre. God comics are turning as sad and unoriginal as Hollywood and catering for a popcorn brain, fast food audience!

@Greengo- I read half way through the trade and couldn't take it anymore. I think it was the pacing of the story-just too monotonous.
But I think I'll watch the DVD to see what the hell everybody's talking about here.

kinda looking forward to the Rorschach issues, i have a feeling that these will turn out ok. Since Alan Moore didn't have a part in this, i'm sure the writers knew that the pressure is on them because of the outcry of fans wanting Watchmen to be left alone.
