Geoff Johns sucks out the soul of 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'. Yawn.

@johnnymarr: As if Crisis on Infinite Earths had some sort of unassailable "soul" to suck out in the first place? the whole thing was a big, fan-service-y gimmick to consolidate the DC Universe back down to a single Earth, nothing more. Just because it was well-written and drawn, that doesn't make it untouchable.

Johns is just putting ideas and characters from Crisis to work again-- so he can tell new, fun stories that are just as goofy and entertaining as Crisis was to begin with. I don't see the problem here.

This story has been supremely entertaining so far. Jason Fabok is pretty much a perfect match for Geoff Johns and the kind of stories he's telling: his clean lines and loads of detail give the whole book a "Hollywood blockbuster" quality.

And Johns is certainly having a hell of a time telling the biggest, most insane story he can think of with the Justice League. It don't get more fan service-y than this, but it's amazing!

And it's the 75th anniversary of Alan Scott, not Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps.

"Johns is just putting ideas and characters from Crisis to work again"

Oh yeah. Like he did with Infinite Crisis. And it worked so well...

I think that Johns is an unoriginal, predictable and overestimated writer. He's like the Michael Bay and Nickelback of the comic book world, all rolled into one.

While the idea of batgod is fun, tread carefully about him knowing jokers identity.

@SymbioteJoker
Batman used a Sinestro Corps Ring in Forever Evil. It may have only been for a few pages, but still. And I don't think anything will come of Bats knowing Joker's identity. That's something that will never be revealed.

So the world's in a global crisis and we still don't know where Arthur aka Aquaman aka The chest piercer.

Nonetheless this has been pretty good.

This has been a great series so far. cant wait to see how it ends.

and its too bad they concentrate the GL 75th on Hal... Yeah he IS m favorite GL and superhero .... but the original Alan Scott deserves the kudos this time

@johnnymarr And what is it that you do sooooooooo well, other than troll GJ. The man writes well and has really made DC as a whole better along with others like Snyder. So please get off your high horse or at least give some examples of current comic book writers you enjoy. Better yet, what have you done again?

When did DC Comics' fans become satisfied with so little?

And people ask why Marvel is clearly kicking DC's ass these days....
