That first cover isn't bad at all, but something about it screams Frank Quitely to me, and I'm not really a fan of his art.

...I'm not the only one getting a Dr. McNinja vibe from that ghost of Benjamin Franklin, am I?

@RexBlazer1 I agree. I think it looks like Quitely's art because of all the lines that are drawn.

It probably is. Hopefully Deadpool will go back to being Deadpool at some point.

The lettered preview from #1 seemed like it was written with subtlety, i.e. NOT Daniel Way, so I have very high hopes for this. As for the cover, Geoff Darrow is,yes, a LOT like Frank Quietly, but that's okay to me, since Frank Quietly is probably my favorite comic artist.

Ben Franklin wasn't a president.

Yeah, and he's not a Zombie in this, either. They probably acknowledge that.

I was thinking the same thing, Chris Burnham has a similar art style also.

I'm a huge fan of 90's pool and & I am gonna have to disagree with merchwitham)uth and toco89 this looks NOTHING like what Daniel way would have done because A) Deadpool isnt being beaten up and b) hes not saying any cheesey one liners

Like someone else mentioned the lettered preview was much more subtle humor and very VERY joe kelly influenced

just like this preview looks like joe kellys
I mean just look at the 97 series the first issue he fights bigfoot......so him fighting giant monsters and zombie presidents yea seems great and very much like the 97 series

as long as deadpool isnt a whimp who keeps getting beat up and is back to being a skilled assasin them I embrace this series and am so glad Daniel Way is gone and away from a dp solo book
