With the intro of Young Justice we meet a new character to the DC Universe. Aqualad was created for this animated series. He can not only breath underwater but he also has control over "hard water" like Queen Mera.

Aqualad is something of an enigma, which is nothing new in the comic book world. He exist in one incarnation in the DC Animated series Young Justice and in a similar mode in DC Comics. Though he was created for Young Justice the character was first revealed in DC's current story-arc Brightest Day.

Unlike the secure leader of Young Justice the Brightest Day Aqualad is just coming into his abilities. He has to deal with confusion caused by loosing the only family he knows and the realization the his father is Black Manta.

Aqualad's future in the DC Universe may be uncertain but one thing is clear. It will be an interesting ride.

@tazmaniak ohright, I thought the pilot was episode 1 & 2 as it was nearly an hour long. I was just following earzmundo's comment on it been 3 episodes in and got excited about watching it.

Caught the new EMH's episode today, was awesome but they are tooooooooo short, not enough really happens in them but you just love waching them IMO!

@ earzmundo - done a few on the entire series here and elsewhere, thought a new player brought in as leader of the pack was worth examining.

I think the comic version has a better look. I like the attitude of the tv version better so far.
