How does Johns do so good in GL and yet meh when it comes to JL? Hell, he even messed up Hal Jordan.

corps has been losing me... the intensity's been too high too long and there's not enough actual writing/storytelling going on... the whole series is just a lot of shouting and fighting. RL's been solid, and Kyle's series is really well written. but this one's the best.

This is the only GL title I've been picking up and so far I've been enjoying it. I would grab some of the other GL titles but there are too many other books I'm following right now so I had to choose.

I'm starting to suspect, despite the name of the site, most people here dont read the comics theyre commenting on. The gay GL is Alan Scott from Earth 2.

Ah well. Back to reading comments on how Spidey is supposed to have organic webbing I guess :(

@TonyChu
Usually I think its because these star writers who are genuinely good get stretched too thin, being forced to write on mutiple different runs at the same time, so obviously some of their work will suffer. As for JL, I dont know why Johns has Hal acting like such a douche. It made sense in the beginning, since it was 5 years earlier, when Hal is early in his GL career. But even now, when the JL timeline is back to normal, he continues with the asshole Hal.

@XxSnakeProxX - Most of the people on this site are Marvel fans. There are a lot of Batman fans here too, but it drops off after that. The fact that DC chose to make Alan Scott gay was only an excuse to just say that all GL's (and namely Hal Jordan) is gay. Their ignorance is deliberate.

What's with all the gay comments? Are people really that stupid and not know the difference between Alan and Hal? Anyways, I'm very excited for this next issue!

"So when do they stop calling it the "NEW 52""

-until the next time DC decides to [frick] their fans over and trash their own continuity and history. I give it about two or three years tops.

This looks great. Cant wait

@tonychu - i disagree with you about Johns on JL. The difference between a GL and Aquaman title vs. JL is that he only has to develop ONE person in GL and AM but JL it takes a little longer to develop the characters since there are many. And as for Hal, he didnt screw him up at all in JL. JL took place 5 years PRIOR to whats happening in GL. OF COURSE Hal Jordan would change a little. He was a little younger, little more arrogant and didnt take anything serious. The more he he grew up, mastered the ring and witnessed crazy stuff hegrew to the man you are used to in GL

Alan Scott is gay, not Hal Jordan. This is why DC should've just made a minor hero gay or made a new one, so that it wont confuse people because they are morons and will assume anything without simple research

I'm reiterating what has already been said here, but dude, it's the Green Lantern on Earth 2 (Alan Scott) that's gay, not Hal Jordan. That said, Sinestro kind of has a sex slave vibe going on that cover.

Did gusto actually get banned, or did he just leave? I commented on a thread about five minutes after he did, next thing I knew all his comments were gone and I didn't see him X'd out in the public square or anything. Sucks, that guy cracked me up d:-/

I don't pay attention to who writes what, but knowing now that Johns is writing JL and GL has me even more confused as to how Hal can be in the Justice League if it is happening at the same time as Green Lantern, Hal is not a real GL, so how is he fighting along side the JL?

SteveRogersSon- What ultra PC stuff? People like Movietheaterlad reporting people for pictures of hot chicks? All the gay-pride-in-comics stuff? I mean I have no problem with homosexuals and support their rights at every turn but even I am getting tired of the overkill. Its great they're introducing gay characters into the universe but shoving it in readers faces on a weekly basis will only cause a backlash.

I like Gusto. I hope he comes back if this is true.
