Finally.... someone with common sense is writing these comics - Superman would waste Batman in an instant. could have crushed his skull with two fingers right there.

I know that Superman is supposed to be really against bullies and people who lord their power over others now, but doesn't he himself kind of come off that way lately?

Aside from that, this looks like a lot of fun as just a hero vs hero situation.

Also, even though Jim Lee brings the bad taste of the 90's into my memory, he really is a great artist for superheroes in action.

Okay. I'm REALLY hating who the [frick]'s in the Superman suit. Get Clark Kent back A.S.A.P.

Damn, Kal-El's really cutting loose isn't he? Batman on the ground going "WTF" to himself. But one hit from Green Lantern and he starts to bleed? Not liking this. Artwork is good though.

OdinsBeard- "Could" and "Should" are two words meant to be entirely different IMHO. Superman's acting like Lobo here for [frick]'s sake.

No offense, OdinsBeard. Of course. I like how he's not affraid to show he could take Batman in a second flat. I just hate that he's actually doing it.

So is Batmans costume actual armour or is it just clothes with armoured plating. Anyways hopefully Johns does something surprising because the way the first issue went it felt like they were going to have conflict at the beginning of the book and then realise that there on the same side and go find another hero, if this issue goes like that I am dropping it, Lee's art is awesome as usual. I still think they should have started there new 52 of with Action Comics. Oh and they should have done an actual reboot not this half assed attempt, something they've done in the past before.

Jim Lee is still the best out there.

one thing i love about the relaunch is the new approach on superman, he was too cheesy ( alot of dc was really cheesy .... superdog? come on ) loving the artwork in this comic and really love how supermans new attitude is, but he is still good ! cant wait! bring on the next issue!

Yo, guys, it's not like they don't read the newspapers, and sure you can know about somebody, but have yet to meet them for the first time. I can say that about the president and the governor of California.

TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY- Okay, if you want to get technical then he looks a lot more like Ultraman than Superman right now. When was Superman dumb[frick] enough to squeeze a throat to the point where it can't function anymore WHILE ASKING THAT SAME THROAT TO FUNCTION BEFORE HE DOESN'T ALLOW IT TO??? Makes perfect sense and is very Superman like to do. Right. Come on dude. As cool as it is to finaly see Superman not take shit from anyone, it would be much better written if someone was actually giving him shit before HE went apeshit on them. This is just logic. Whatever the hell they're doing to the characters is NOT progress. Superman easily has the strength and control to grab Batman's neck (IF need be) without squeezing it to a point where he knows Batman can't talk even if he wanted to, and then force him to do exactly what he's preventing him to do. That's what bad writing is right there.

I love this relaunch. Superman is obivously going to give Hal a litte roundabout but its good that Supes bleeds. Hal is wicked powerful, such is also Supes, but it seems that Hal isn't as experienced yet. Anyways, great reboot so far!

@Shaman - You make a good point there but i think superman is still pissed about someone that blow up and nearly taking a whole building out with him like Supes said. Superman for some reason thinks Batman must know the person and since they don't know each other yet batman mut still be labled as some crazy vigilante running thru the streets.

MAN SUPERMAN's SO [frick]ING AWESOME!
The suit, the character, they nailed it!

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY - yeah, I guess I can accept that. Still, he seems kind of obnoxious to me. If he really thinks these guys aren't a threat, why be so snarky about it?
