COMICS: Respect The Beard! AQUAMAN Regains Signature Look This November

Many things changed when "The New 52" was introduced, with Aquaman in particular getting a fairly major makeover. Not only did he get a far more youthful appearance, but Arthur Curry regained his hand and lost his beard. Well, it returns in this November's "Death of a King" finale!

I hope he just doesn't have it for artist reasons. He better had been trapped with a nice pair of clippers because that beard looks perfect.

He lost his beard long before the New 52. I don't think he's had a beard since 2003.

I always found it interesting how a lot of fans associate the character with having a beard, but out of his 72-year comic book history, he only had a beard for about 9 years.

Black Lantern frog. I agree but I really want in a JL live action movie for him to lose the hand in some bad ass way. That way it'll set the tone that at least in part these characters are in danger.

Don't forget to also fear the beard.

And make sure you don't get bits of food stuck in it, because that's huge turn off for women... And people in general.

:P

That's a great picture of him on the throne. No beard....no hook....that's the real classic look.

Since this is the New 52, they should spice things up this time and leave the hand... but give him a Peg Leg.

Freakin awesome! They need to do a live action movie with this character. But of course DC/WB does not have the balls to do it, congrats to Marvel for having the balls!

I can't believe I'm gonna speak against a beard because, I mean lets face it EVERYTHING is usually better with a beard. But honestly I think I like the shaved, no beard look a lot better.

...and definitely no hook hand. Dear lord keep that away...

Peter David's bearded & harpoon hand Aquaman >>>>>> Geoff Johns' Aquaman, however i really dont see the point in having Aquaman grow a beard in this series, David did it as a desperate measure to make Aquaman 90's-cool, but Johns made him cool without resorting to stuff like that, and now all of a sudden he grows a beard!? ... Lets just cut through the Bull shit and bring PAD's Aquaman back for good.
