So, I thought the whole first meeting WAS Justice League #1? I thought that was kinda the point?

Is it just me or is the new 52 full of continuity errors?

Of course I haven't been keeping up with it recently but still.

@superotherside

This issue takes place during the first volume of Justice League. The first meeting wasn't in the first issue, only Batman, Green Lantern, and Superman met each other.

So Wonder Woman was just a cold-hearted bitch when they first met.

Like I needed this comic to tell me that.

Wonder Woman looks great, though.

"In my culture, this fragility would be your downfall, here, it's practically a virtue". Wiser words have never been spoken. Our culture loves weakness and if you claim to be a victim, you obtain power. I want to move to Paradise Island.

Well, interesting read...but there's some plot holes. Obviously Green Lantern could have created the retaining wall. Also, Superman doesn't need Wonder Woman's help for anything really. He's faster than gravity. Flash and Superman both could have evacuated people without talking about it.

Superman actually seems to be writen well in this one...

@Superior Thanks for explaining that. I was lost. Still all this kinda negates the whole story of Justice League Vol. #1. I mean it was supposedly everyone's first meeting. I wish they would just stop visiting the past and continue.

Beginnings aren't that interesting. After everyone knows everyone, that's the interesting part.

I would take him over a brainless raging brute drawed by Jim Lee Superman any day of the week.

lol, bastards, yeah i screwed up, but there's no edit button. And i agree with @dio, i don't really have a problem with the way he's drawn other than that panel. Maybe it's the lips, but whatever.

At least the new 52 makes more sense continuity wise than marvel.

@superotherside This doesn't negate anything, the issue takes place in Justice League vol. 1. The caption at the beginning says "Metropolis, five years ago" and they're fighting the Parademons.

Tomasi is at times a really good writer, but he's always paired with average artist. I don't dislike Mahnke's art, it just always looks so... unhuman. Cheap. The man refuses to draw accurate human faces. The banter was cool here though.

I take that back. It's just Superman looking terrible in this issue.

On the fence about this one. I was a fan of Charles soule's run but am debating whether to drop this now that he is gone. When I 1st heard about the series I assumed it would be terrible, focusing on their relationship, which I have no interest in. But good word of mouth got me to pick it up and eventually add to my pull list. Maybe I'll give it a couple of issues and see. I like Thomasi's work on Batman and Robin for the most part, and I Doug's art, although Supe's face does look strange in that panel.
